Dear visitor,

Estonian Union of Professional Engineers (EUPE) is an organisation that was founded to unite Estonian engineers. The objective of EUPE is to protect the professional, economic and social rights and interests of its members, as well as promote engineering education and skills. EUPE represents and protects its members' interests in negotiations with employers and their associations, including talks on preparation, conclusion, control and arbitrage of collective agreements. We organise and mediate information exchange, training and self-development events for our partners in Estonia and partner countries. We cooperate with national authorities and other unions and associations both in Estonia and abroad in the fields of professional protection and employment of engineers. We facilitate the coverage of technology-related issues in the media and promote the engineering profession in Estonia, especially among the youth. Estonian Union of Professional Engineers has currently 632 members. EUPE activities are directed by the management board of seven members.

EUPE is a member union of the Estonian Employees' Unions' Confederation (TALO) and has, therefore, the opportunity to represent the interests of its members in the relevant organisations within the EU. Our representative is participating in the working party created by the EU for the application of the uniform ENCARD professional card for engineers.

For years, EUPE has been cooperating with engineers' associations in Nordic countries - Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland - which has given us a good overview of engineers' training, working conditions, salaries and social guarantees in these countries. Anyone interested in the activities of engineers of these countries may take a closer look using the links on our website.

This website includes several other links directing you towards information that may be of interest to you.

It is our task to keep you informed of the current developments concerning engineering education, international recognition of diplomas, social rights and guarantees in Estonia and Nordic countries.

This webpage was created courtesy of Fund for Non-Governmental Organisations and the financial support package of Norway and the European Economic Area (EEA). The objective of the support package is to assure the involvement of civil unions in actions towards decreasing economic and social differences in the European Economic Area. The Fund for Non-Governmental Organisations is financed by Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway. The support is coordinated by the Open Estonia Foundation.

We hope for a pleasant cooperation!
